The beetle and the butterfly

1. Some people are different from other people.
2. But how do you know you are different?
3. How can you prove your difference with an argument?
4. How come other people know you are different while presumably they are not?
5. How can you prove an argument which nobody thinks is right?
6. In fact it seems that being different is somehow self- evident:
7. Although others may disagree with what you say, they seem to go along with your argument because they believe you are clever.
8. Somehow you just know you are different and for one reason or another everybody else knows.
9. But should you go along with your difference or would you rather be like everybody else?
10. Should Einstein have given up his theory of relativity because it was a crazy theory?
11. Should you give up your own theory because it will probably never be accepted?
12. The best way to hold on to your view about life and yourself is to accept the fact that you are different.
13. Everybody is different from anybody else.
14. But most people comply with the common view about reality and the purpose of life.
15. However there is a strange feeling of pleasure by knowing that you are different-
16. Among the beetles you will always find a butterfly…
