Kwaidan (Ghost Story)

1.      The leaves shiver in the winter breeze

2.      Snow covers the deserted landscape

3.      A man abandons a woman

4.      Meaningful is the act of treachery.

5.      When an old man is out collecting timber

6.      His youthful soul is eager to burn in fire

7.      Men are easily deceived by the woman of the snow

8.      Pitiful is the cry of forgiveness.

9.      There was a young priest blind and naïve  

10.  But his song was excellent

11.  One day the spirits cut off his ears

12.  Now he can listen better to his song.

13.  Short is the account of accomplishments

14.  Unknown the outcome of the unexpected

15.  The hero faces himself in a cup of water

16.  Eternal is the call of the suspended.
