Day and Night

1. How arduously we’ve gathered flocks of birds
2. Various kinds of shapes describing different species
3. Splitting up the land in squares to cultivate new crops
4. Managing the empty space with a ruler and a brush.

5. We’ve tried the regular division of the plane
6. On a greed of coordinates we’ve put the universe
7. As we close our eyes the world is turning inside out
8. A mosque with a tall minaret is hanging in the sky
9. A water mill is spinning without any water
10. Fish are moving up a stream without gravity
11. White geese are turning into black swans then into clouds
12. And as the clouds fall into a lake they make no sound.

13. Is this a daytime dream or a black and white mirage?
14. Asked the impatient half its unforgiving other half
15. It is the landscape of our mind turning upside down
16. As white squares and black squares appear on each side.
