Finding the child

1. Happiness is a state
2. While hope is a mental attitude
3. But optimism is an instinct.

4. Although few of us find happiness
5. Most of us keep on hoping
6. However hope remains undefined
7. Still optimism is keeping us alive...

8. Remember when we were young?
9. We used to have a constant smile on our face
10. Our eyes were always shining bright
11. There was no reason for our happiness
12. Hope has no meaning if you are happy.

13. It is the optimism which makes everything so fine
14. This optimism is lost as we grow older
15. Like a flame which gets dimmer and dimmer
16. While we become grimmer and grimmer
17. With our bodies heavier and our faces wrinkled.

18. How can we get back such optimism?
19. I look inside and find a primordial child
20. What is the secret of your happiness? I ask it
21. The child turns around, looks at me and gives a smile.
