1.
Intelligent beings suffer from the need of
comparison-
2.
On one hand we have the Earth hanging from a
string
3.
On the other hand we have the Moon resting on a
bookshelf
4.
-Alternatively it could be an apple and a banana
respectively-
5.
Both objects are found inside the iron cage of a
prison library
6.
One object is casting a shadow on the other
object
7.
The presence of the Sun or some form of light is
implied
8.
These two objects seem to be strongly attached
to each other
9.
A planet and its satellite is like our head and
our mind
10.
A thought revolves around our head until we
grasp it
11.
But originally the thought is not found inside
our head
12.
At some point in time we find it floating in the
air
13.
While later on its shadow is reflected in our
mind
14.
And although the object of thought seems
imaginary
15.
We find out that the same object becomes part of
reality
16.
Is the whole universe spinning inside our heads?
17.
While somehow in order to view it we need to
look outside?
18.
The cage with the iron bars should look familiar
to us
19.
Since it must be the cage where our thought
inhabits
20.
Perhaps this is also where our sense of freedom
comes from
21.
Looking though a small window at the planets and
the stars
22.
Watching our thought fly away like a bird we’ll
never catch
23.
Let’s close our eyes for a moment while the room
is getting dark
24.
This darkness consists of all possible thoughts
in our mind
25.
Then let’s open our eyes as the room is getting
brighter
26.
All we can now remember is a still picture
referring to the past
27.
All we can finally grasp is the shadow of a
missing thing in abundant light.
